ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to help people with Parkinson's disease improve their strength and overall health through a program that combines exercise and technology. Researchers are developing a special platform that provides visual feedback, similar to virtual reality, to enhance rehabilitation exercises. In this study, 92 participants with Parkinson's will be divided into three groups: one will receive standard clinical rehabilitation, another will do home-based rehabilitation exercises, and the last group will not receive any specific intervention. Each participant will take part in sessions twice a week for 12 weeks, focusing on both strength and aerobic exercises. They will be evaluated on various measures, including their grip strength, walking ability, and quality of life.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, be between 45 and 85 years old, and be able to walk independently or with assistance. They should also be stable on their medications and have a good understanding of the study requirements. However, those with certain serious health conditions, severe impairments, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding will not be eligible. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into how this interactive exercise program can benefit people living with Parkinson's disease.
