ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) exergaming—active video games that combine exercise with immersive technology—can affect mood and thinking skills during short breaks at work. The researchers want to find out if playing these games improves mood and cognitive function compared to simply resting. They will involve desk-based employees who haven't been exercising regularly and will assign them to try VR, MR, or just take a passive break. Participants will be assessed on their thinking abilities and mood, as well as their heart rate and how much they enjoy the activities.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, have not been exercising much recently, and should not have any serious health issues like heart conditions or neurological disorders. They also should not have used VR or MR technology before. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in fun, active games during your breaks and share your experiences regarding your mood and mental sharpness. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you meet the criteria, you could play a part in discovering new ways to improve workplace well-being!
