ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on creating a fun and engaging exercise program using active video games for children with asthma. The goal is to see how this new exercise system compares to traditional high-intensity workouts in terms of how it affects the heart and body during exercise. The researchers want to understand if using video games can help improve the health and fitness of children between the ages of 8 and 15 who have stable asthma.
To participate in the study, children need to have a doctor’s diagnosis of asthma and be regularly following their asthma treatment. They should also be in a stable condition without recent asthma flare-ups. Unfortunately, children with other chronic illnesses, obesity, or those who cannot complete exercise tests won’t be eligible to join. If selected, participants can expect to engage in exciting video-based exercises, and their heart health and body responses will be closely monitored throughout the trial. This study aims to find new ways to help children with asthma stay active and healthy.
