ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two different types of walking—backward (retro-walking) and forward—while using an underwater treadmill for people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). The goal is to see which method helps reduce pain and improve movement and function in individuals with chronic knee OA.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 40 and 60 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) between 25 and 35, and be diagnosed with mild to moderate knee OA in one knee. Unfortunately, some individuals cannot join, such as those who are pregnant or have certain medical conditions. If you participate, you can expect to engage in walking exercises in the water, which may be easier on your joints compared to walking on land. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to explore new ways to manage knee pain and improve your quality of life.
