ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to predict low blood pressure during surgery by using a special monitoring device that does not require any needles or invasive procedures. The researchers want to find out if this prediction method can accurately identify when a patient might experience low blood pressure while they are under general anesthesia. This is important because low blood pressure during surgery can lead to complications.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult, 19 years or older, and scheduled for an elective surgery that will be done with general anesthesia. You should be in good health or have mild to moderate health issues as described by the American Society of Anesthesiologists. However, if you need certain medications before surgery, require invasive monitoring, are having an emergency procedure, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you won’t be eligible to join. If you take part in the trial, you will help researchers learn more about how to keep patients safe during surgery by improving monitoring techniques.
