Crisis Management Disaster Nursing Pretest Posttest Studies

ClinConnect Summary

This study is testing whether a Crisis Management Training program can help third-year nursing students in Istanbul become better at handling disasters in healthcare settings. Conducted at Beykent University, the researchers will measure students’ disaster nursing skills before and after the training to see if the program improves preparedness, decision-making, and teamwork. About 70 students are expected to take part in a single-group design (no comparison group).

Participants will first complete a pre-test survey, then take part in one training session that covers crisis planning, rapid decision-making, triage, and teamwork with nine stages, including simulations and feedback. After the training, they will complete a post-test using the same survey to see if there are improvements in their disaster preparedness and response abilities. The study is currently enrolling by invitation and, at this time, no results are available.
