ClinConnect Summary
The Genius PillBox Study is a research project designed to see how helpful a special pill organizer can be for older adults who take multiple medications. This organizer has built-in sensors and sends reminders to help people remember to take their medicines on time. The study aims to understand how acceptable and useful this tool is for seniors aged 60 and older who take three or more medications.
To participate, older adults must be able to manage their medications and take them twice a day or less. They should also have good mental clarity, which means making few mistakes on a simple memory test. Family members who help manage medications can join the study too, as long as they are 18 or older and meet similar criteria. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but those who join can expect to test the pill organizer and provide feedback on their experience.
